They are committed to the six-step process of financial planning to build a tailor-made financial plan for each client. Cory has been providing financial advice to clients for more than 15 years and worked in the financial services industry since 1990.
Cory originally entered college with the hopes of becoming a real estate appraiser; however, it became clear that a career in financial and investment planning was a better fit. Other than a five-year stint, early in his career at a local credit union, Cory has been with RGF Integrated Wealth Management where he continues to build his practice by providing his clients, their families and their friends with unbiased and professional financial and investment advice. As a financial steward of his client's wealth, Cory is a conservative investor who believes in a balanced approach to wealth creation with a focus on generating income.
His goal as a financial advisor is to create wealth for clients and their families by maximizing portfolio income and minimizing volatility. Investing in income-oriented investments reduces risk in a portfolio while providing a reward for investing one's capital.
Cory is a Financial Advisor holding both the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designations. The combination of his financial planning and investment management education and experience makes him uniquely qualified in his industry as an expert in investment strategies and financial and retirement planning.
When outside of the office, Cory enjoys spending time with his wife Jenny and their 4 children. He also enjoys cooking, carpentry, home renovations and traveling.

As investors, we have all seen what effect market volatility has on the value of one’s portfolio.
As Week 7 of the “Covid Lockdown” begins, how are we all feeling? My sense is that the greater community is settling into this “new normal”.

Easier said than done for sure! The fact that a wartime slogan as Britain prepared for World War II is still relevant, shows the power that a calm message of reassurance governments convey to its citizens...

With the election of a minority Liberal government in October 2019, there were a number of announcements in the December 2019 Federal Budget. Here is brief, though not an exhaustive, point-form summary...
Here is a brief overview of some key investment market developments over the past quarter and for 2019 as a whole, as well as some insight into the factors that may affect markets in the coming months.
I hope you had a great summer and have the opportunity to enjoy some pleasant fall weather as we head into the final few months of the year.
As of June 30th, 2019, world equity markets, as measured by the Morgan Stanley Capital– All Country World Index (MSCI ACWI), are in the positive at +10.42% year-to-date.
What a difference a quarter can make! After the steep decline in global equities at the end of Q4 2018, specifically December, stock markets, led by the U.S. and Canada, rebounded in the first three months of 2019.
Well, it’s safe to say, from an investment perspective, 2018 was a roller-coaster!
You can see the best performer of the quarter was the US market. It will be interesting to see the impact of how the signing of the USMCA (previously called NAFTA) will have on the Canadian stock market.
I hope you are well and are enjoying the warmer weather. With the second quarter of 2018 having recently drawn to a close, I wanted to provide a brief update for you on some of the main themes that emerged for investment markets over the period.
