We have Hope…

On Saturday, August 24th and Sunday, August 25th, the Market Cycles of RGF Integrated Wealth Management took part in their 11th straight Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation.

This year we raised nearly $42,000, bringing our team total over all these years to nearly $810,000, in large part thanks to your support.

Collectively this year, the 2,100 riders raised over $9.1 million for the BC Cancer Foundation, making the 11-year total an incredible $105.1 million.

Day 1 was amazing! We left the start line in Cloverdale at around 7:30am, and weaved our way through South Surrey, Langley, Aldergrove and Abbotsford. The course was a great combination of short, punchy hills and long, winding straightaways. After 117kms, we reached camp in Chilliwack at around 1:30pm without any incidents on the road. The temperature was near perfect with no rain.

Day 2 started off with big rain! It was dry overnight but as we gathered at the start line, we could see the weather coming our way. It rained for about 30 minutes, but that was it for the rest of the day. We (and the roads) dried off quickly. It was another great day of riding to the finish line in Hope.

Our team of 4 was in perfect sync together, so much so that we picked up a few honorary team members along the way who rode with us. The course was brand new for us as last year we were unable to finish in Hope because of smoke from some wildfires. From Chilliwack, we made our way to Agassiz and for the most part rode along the Fraser River to Hope. The scenery was spectacular along the way! Other than one scraped knee, we made the 106km journey to Hope without any incidents.

The city of Hope welcomed us with open arms. As we arrived in town, countless families were in their driveways cheering us on. In all the years we’ve done the ride, this was the warmest reception we’ve ever received.

We are so humbled by the ongoing support we’ve received from many of you. We would not have achieved this without your support.
